Project Description
The objective of the Technical Cooperation project is to improve the capacity of the Ministry of Hacienda and Crédito Público (MHCP) and the National Technical Committee (NTC) to monitor the portfolio of investment projects financed by the IDB so as to be able to anticipate risks and problems associated with the achievement of project goals, and to implement necessary measures to ensure their accomplishment. To this end, it seeks to support the MHCP and the CTN to be able to detect and respond to difficulties in project execution in a timely and pertinent fashion. In this context, the project proposes to (i) strengthen the capacity of the members of the CTN to analyze and use available information to monitor in a timely manner the advancement of project and portfolio level goals; (ii) to carry out a diagnostic of the Early Alert System; (iii) contract consultants who can provide specific technical support to project execution.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment. You can submit a complaint by sending an email to MICI@iadb.org. You can learn more about the MICI and how to file a complaint at http://www.iadb.org/en/mici/mici,1752.html (in English) or http://www.iadb.org/es/mici/mici,1752.html (Spanish).
