Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

According to the NDB, the Project envisages construction of 24 MW hydropower plant, including construction of an earthen fill dam of 92-meter height to regulate water flow.

The Project will also focus on activities aimed at institutional capacity building of the Project Entity, such as an enterprise resource planning software system, development of a scale model of the hydropower plant, and others.

The Project aims to reduce Mizoram’s energy cost by expanding its hydropower generation capacity. The Project is expected to avoid annual CO2 emissions by 48,500 tonnes per year.
