According to the Bank’s website, the objective of this project is to support the development of a policy to strengthen the use of renewable energies in both electricity generation and end uses, which contributes to achieving the mitigation targets set out in the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs), in particular those related to electricity generation, as well as the fulfillment of the goals of participation of clean energies in the electricity generation established in the General Law of Climate Change.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project.
