Project Description

According to the IADB, the objective is to strengthen the policy and strategic planning framework for economic recovery, sustainable growth, and productivity in Jamaica. The specific objectives are to: (i) update Jamaica's Growth-Inducement Strategy to identify and prioritize strategic interventions that address structural constraints, leverage emerging opportunities, and guide evidence-based policy, planning, and public investment decisions; and (ii) update the National Five-Year Manufacturing Growth Strategy for Jamaica (2020-2025), and develop an Industry Transformation Roadmap for a priority manufacturing subsector to strengthen manufacturing competitiveness through innovation, technology adoption, productivity enhancement, and industrial upgrading.
