The objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to support the Government of Honduras (GoH) in improving the performance of the country's road infrastructure services, through the improvement of its capacity to intelligently manage its road assets, introducing the application of ITS in service management, road maintenance and road safety. The specific objectives of the TC include support for: (i) introducing technology and expanding the current amount of intelligent infrastructure that uses cameras and automated sensors on the country's highways; and (ii) the implementation of an intelligent Road Asset Management System (RAMS), expanding the use of specialized vehicles and robots to increase the testing and diagnosis of materials and bridges.
ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
