According to the bank, the project objective is to strengthen the integral management of the Lake Yojoa sub-basin based on technical and environmental studies, and agroforestry awareness and extension strategies, to contribute to the conservation of water resources and environmental conditions for the generation of hydroelectric power for the benefit of the population.Specific objectives: 1. Determination of the baseline through the development of technical studies: water balance, bathymetry, and water quality and sources of contamination; 2. Development of a Community Awareness Strategy Plan and Agroforestry Extension; 3.Comprehensive strengthening of the Watershed Management Unit of the ENEE generation company.
ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project.
