Project Description

According to the IADB, the general objective of the program is to support the Government of Honduras in increasing access to and improving the quality of education in targeted rural areas and vulnerable populations. The specific objectives are: (i) to strengthen the demand for educational services through monetary incentives and strategies for prevention and re-engagement of students; (ii) to strengthen educational services for returned children and adolescents; (iii) to strengthen the supply of educational services by improving school infrastructure, teaching strategies for the development of foundational skills, 21st-century and green skills, and innovative alternative programs; and (iv) to strengthen the institutional capacity of SEDUC for monitoring, management, and decision-making in the educational system.
