Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

According to the IADB, this TC aims to strengthen fiduciary systems in Haiti by improving public procurement capacity in targeted execution units and supporting the development of a harmonized national accounting curriculum aligned with international standards and adapted to the Haitian context. Building on previous Bank support, the TC will address operational weaknesses identified during procurement implementation and supervision while also supporting the medium-term strengthening of accounting education and professional capacity. Through these two complementary components, the TC will contribute to stronger fiduciary performance, greater accountability, and more effective use of public and development resources

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project.
