Project Description

According to the IADB, the general objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to support the Government of El Salvador in strengthening governance and building the information technology infrastructure (data center) necessary to improve the administration, storage, availability, and sovereignty (security) of State data. This will ensure the widespread availability of public services to citizens and the extensive use of information exchange systems among public entities through the creation of the Government's Private Cloud. The specific objectives are: (i) to assess the storage and data management needs of 100% of the national government entities; (ii) to define the National Data Governance Strategy, centralization, and redundancy of State Data; (iii) to identify the technical and financial needs, as well as develop the conceptual, preliminary, and executive design for the project for El Salvador Data Center; (iv) to design the State's VPN (Virtual Private Network) to strengthen the information exchange system between State Entities and Organizations; and (v) to structure sustainability strategies for connectivity and service provision for educational, health, and security establishments.
