Project Description

According to the IADB, the objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to strengthen the CFN's institutional capacity to promote financing for productive investments by Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) through the evaluation and analysis of the CFN's portfolio segmentation methodology--with an emphasis on the geographic dimension--within the framework of Program EC-L1302. The specific objectives of the TC are: (i) to strengthen institutional management mechanisms by designing and implementing portfolio segmentation tools that enable more efficient and targeted management of productive financing; and (ii) to support the measurement and monitoring of effectiveness indicators for financing directed at SMEs.

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
