The objective of this technical cooperation (TC) is to strengthen the planning and delivery capabilities of the Ministry of Energy and Non-Renewable Natural Resources (MERNNR) of Ecuador through support to: (i) define and prioritize strategic interventions based on a comparative evaluation of international best practices in the non-renewable natural resources sectors; (ii) diagnose the current status of the ability to deliver results for prioritized services; (iii) and strengthen the capacity to deliver services. This TC will support the preparation of the loan EC-L1257, Sustainable Management of Underground Resources and Associated Infrastructure.
Oil and Gas seem to be the prioritized sectors.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
