Project Description

According to the IADB, the objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to support the strengthening and acceleration of the digital transformation of public services in the Dominican Republic through the development of a solid institutional framework, the modernization of technological infrastructure, and the improvement of digital skills. Specifically, it seeks to: (i) diagnose the current state of digital transformation; (ii) strengthen the institutional framework and regulatory framework for the digitalization of public services; and (iii) support the implementation of digital tools to improve the efficiency and accessibility of government services.

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
