The general objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to develop operational skills to strengthen the resolutive capacity of the primary care system and contribute in this way to the reduction of the prevalence of chronic non-communicable diseases (CNCD) and their risk factors in the Dominican Republic through i) developing monitoring and follow-up tools for the timely detection and care of the disease; ii) building and strengthening institutional capacity to improve the quality of care through the development of patient care and flow protocols, better systems and analysis of information for decision-making and iii) strengthening the management capacity of health, especially with regard to digital health.
ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
