Project Description

According to the Bank’s website, the general objective of this project is to contribute to rural households income in Yuna watershed, taking into account climate risks. The specific objectives are: (i) improve water resource governance capacities at national and local levels; (ii) increase water use efficiency in irrigation; and (iii) increase agricultural productivity and climate resilience of producers, prioritizing the participation of women.

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project.
