According to the IADB, the general objective of the Technical Cooperation (TC) is to support the country in strengthening institutional management of climate and disaster risk. The specific objectives are: (i) to strengthen the National System for Disaster Risk Management (SNGRD) and the institutional capacity of the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD) for the implementation of disaster risk management (DRM) in the country; and (ii) to enhance the institutional capacity of the Ministry of Finance and Public Credit (MHCP) to improve financial management of the country's contingent liabilities related to disasters and climate. Additionally, this TC will provide technical support for the implementation of the PGIRDN of the Contingent Loan CO-O0018.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project.
