According to the IADB, the general objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to strengthen Bancoldex's institutional capacity for the development of new products and innovative financial solutions, with a focus on credit inclusion, productive modernization, and environmental sustainability. The specific objectives are: (i) to develop new financial products for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), focusing on financial inclusion, productive modernization (innovation and digitalization), and the environmental sustainability of production; (ii) to develop new solutions to support bioeconomy enterprises in the Amazon region; and (iii) to expand its portfolio of financial products for women and diverse populations. The TC will also support Bancoldex's institutional capacities to: (i) align its portfolio with the Paris Agreement; and (ii) improve data collection and impact evaluation of its interventions with the Bank.
ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
