The goal of this technical cooperation (TC) is to support activities related to the implementation and evaluation of a scale-up pilot of Semillas de Apego. Specifically, Universidad de los Andes has requested Bank's technical cooperation to support three activities: (i) the design and preparation of a path to scale, which will be carried out in consultation and collaboration with ICBF and local ECD service providers, and that will lead to a scale-up pilot; (ii) the implementation of a scale-up pilot in Tumaco, Narino; Bogota, and one or two more municipalities (to be defined); and (iii) the data collection for the evaluation of the scale-up pilot.
Together, this project will provide evidence of the potential for scale-up and cost-effectiveness of Semillas de Apego as a strategy to protect and promote children and their development in communities exposed to violence, and an implementation guideline and protocol for an actual scale-up of the program.
The country's counterpart ammoount to SD 150,347.
ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment. You can submit a complaint by sending an email to MICI@iadb.org. You can learn more about the MICI and how to file a complaint at http://www.iadb.org/en/mici/mici,1752.html (in English) or http://www.iadb.org/es/mici/mici,1752.html (Spanish).
