Project Description

The objective of this Preparation Grant is to support the efforts of the Government of Colombia in to stimulate local financial institutions (LFIs) to finance investments in renewable energy as alternative source of energy generation in non-interconnected zones (ZNI).This in turn will lead to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and to improvements in the quality of life of the residents of these areas of the country.

If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
