According to the IADB, the overall development objective is to increase the effectiveness of the State's legal defense at both the national and territorial levels, through the strengthening of the institutional capacity of national and territorial entities, and the digital management capacity of ANDJE, with the aim of reducing the State's fiscal vulnerability to claims for unlawful harm. The specific development objectives are: (i) to increase the institutional capacity of entities, both at the national and territorial levels, for the proper management of the State's legal defense; and (ii) to strengthen ANDJE's digital management capacity in order to increase the adoption of knowledge tools in the State's Legal Defense.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
