Project Description

According to the IADB, the objective is to strengthen territorial biocultural governance and socio-environmental sustainability in the collective territories of Southern Narino. The specific objectives of this operation are: i) To strengthen the technical, administrative, and financial capacities of ethno-territorial organizations to influence territorial management and to exercise self-governance;ii) To implement ecological and productive restoration actions with an ethnic-focused approach in strategic areas of collective territories;iii) To promote sustainable productive initiatives that foster the empowerment and economic autonomy of local ethnic entrepreneurs.

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project.
