Project Description

According to the IADB, this technical cooperation aims to strengthen the Federal Government's institutional planning capacity to implement climate, environmental, and infrastructure policies by enhancing the environmental impact assessment of Multiannual Planning Process (PPA) attributes and establishing guiding criteria for the prioritization of infrastructure investments, considering an environmental and climate-focused approach. The TC will support the integration of mitigation and adaptation targets into public planning, budgeting, and public investment frameworks, as well as strengthen interoperable systems to track policy effectiveness at the national level, in alignment with the Plano Clima.

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
