Project Description
If provided by the financial institution, the Early Warning System Team writes a short summary describing the purported development objective of the project and project components. Review the complete project documentation for a detailed description.

To support the development of institutional capacities for better regulation in Brazil, with a view to enhancing competitiveness, improving the business environment, and providing better public services. To achieve this, the TC will support the following specific objectives: (i) strengthening a regulatory quality monitoring system; (ii) generating a menu of options to measure regulatory costs; (iii) enhancing capacities in regulating new technologies and climate change; and (iv) supporting administrative simplification and better regulation initiatives at the subnational level.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IDB / IDB INVEST

The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest)-funded project.
