Project Description

El objetivo es potenciar la actividad turística del Departamento de Potosí y Bolivia a través de posicionamiento nacional e internacional del destino Salar y Lagunas de Colores con el propósito de incrementar el gasto y empleo del sector turismo, e incrementar la calidad de los servicios en el área con el propósito de mejorar los ingresos económicos de las comunidades.

El proyecto consiste en varias actividades: Elaboración "Planes de Desarrollo Turístico" de 10 municipios que conforman el destino (Uyuni, Tupiza, Villazón, San Pablo de Lípez, Mojinete, San Antonio de Esmoruco, Tahua, llica, San Augustin y San Pedro de Quemes); capacitaciones abordando temas como  hospedaje, operación turística, gastronomía, primeros auxilios e inglés básico.
 
El Salar de Uyuni es el mayor desierto de sal continuo y alto del mundo, con una superficie de 10 582 kilómetros. Está situado a unos 3.650 msnm en el suroeste de Bolivia, en la provincia de Daniel Campos, del departamento de Potosí, dentro de la región altiplánica de la cordillera de los Andes.
