Project Description

El Programa de Presas busca contribuir a incrementar la capacidad de agua embalsada a nivel nacional en Bolivia. Se suma a los programas Mi Agua (quinta fase), y al Programa Mi Riego (tercera fase) para contribuir al alcance de la meta de 700.000 hectáreas bajo riego para fines del año 2020, meta fijada en el Plan de Desarrollo Económico y Social (PDES).

El programa incluye la asistencia técnica en el diseño de modelos de gestión que garanticen la sostenibilidad de los servicios de agua y saneamiento en las zonas rurales, así como también al desarrollo de la estrategia sectorial de aguas residuales y el diseño metodológico para la preparación de sistemas de alerta temprana y planes de gestión de sequías, incluyendo intercambio de experiencias con otros países, entre otras iniciativas.
