According to the IADB, the objective is to strengthen the Government of Belize's (GOBL) capacity to develop and implement programs that promote the digitalization of Belizean businesses. The specific objectives are: (i) to strengthen the technical capacity to design and roll out program that support the digitalization and competitiveness of Belizean businesses, and (ii) monitor and evaluate the impact of such digitalization and competitiveness-enhancing programs; and (ii) to enhance coordination and communication of digital transformation activities.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
