According to the IADB, the general objective of this Technical Cooperation (TC) is to support Belize's institutional capacity building for emergency response and the implementation of the country's DRF Policy. The specific objective is: (i) to support the Government of Belize (GoB) in strengthening the institutional capacity of the Ministry of Finance, Economic Development and Investment (MFEDI), National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) and other public sector beneficiary entities involved in the implementation of the DRF Policy; and (ii) to support the Ministry of Health and Wellness (MOHW) in enhancing its institutional preparedness and response capabilities for public health emergencies.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
