According to the IADB, this project's main objective is supporting women-led MSMEs with high growth potential and dynamic entrepreneurship. The strategy includes accelerating and supporting high potential growth women-led ventures at all stages in the business cycle from start-ups with high growth potential, to established Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) that face challenges to innovate and grow as well as strengthening the entrepreneurs who are nearing export readiness.
According to the IADB, NIME Belize-International Network of Women in Business is the executing agency which aims to break down barriers with a bold and forward-thinking approach. They are leaders, not just in their ventures, but in pioneering new ideas, resources, and connections that fuel effectiveness. One of NIME’s key strengths lies in fostering collaboration and community. They actively promote spaces for participation within their network and beyond, forging alliances with other organizations to create a supportive ecosystem. This emphasis on collective empowerment extends to NIME’s core values,
where integrity, honesty, and recognizing each member's unique contribution are paramount. NIME goes beyond business success; they understand the broader impact women entrepreneurs can have. They raise awareness on social inclusion, women's rights, gender equality, and leadership skills, recognizing the role to play in peacebuilding and societal change while creating a safe and supportive environment, nurturing deep friendships and tackling issues women face today. This fosters personal growth and helps members mature into successful leaders, equipped with the skills, and plans to drive progress. Ultimately, NIME provides opportunities for professional and personal development, equipping women with the support and skills they need to thrive. NIME's unique combination of collaboration, empowerment, and social awareness makes NIME a valuable resource for women-owned businesses. They offer not just individual growth, but a united front for positive change, making NIME a driving force for a more equitable and prosperous future

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment. You can submit a complaint by sending an email to MICI@iadb.org. You can learn more about the MICI and how to file a complaint at http://www.iadb.org/en/mici/mici,1752.html (in English) or http://www.iadb.org/es/mici/mici,1752.html (Spanish).
