According to the IADB, the general objective of the Technical Cooperation is to support the formulation of operations aimed at improving the quality of provincial road infrastructure and road management, incorporating resilience and sustainability criteria. The specific objectives are: (i) to help reduce technical, economic, and socio-environmental information gaps through the development of targeted studies; (ii) to help strengthen provincial capacities for the efficient management of road assets through prefeasibility studies for the implementation of road asset management systems, including load control and a review of funding and financing schemes; and (iii) to help develop instruments and capacities for the formulation and execution of a resilient road system.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
