According to the Bank’s website, the objective of this project is to promote socioeconomic development based on natural resources in Argentine Patagonia, based on synergies between the public sector, the private sector and society. To this end, and in order to contribute to the implementation of the Urban and Territorial Strategic Plan of Perito Moreno, it will support specific activities to (i) promote local and regional economic diversification based on the formulation of projects for sustainable economic development, and (ii) strengthen municipal management capacities by supporting administrative modernization and improving the skills of civil servants.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IIC)-funded project.
