According to the WB, the Objective of the Project is to facilitate a sustainable expansion of the Borrower's electricity generation capacity.
Andritz AG's website states that 'ANDRITZ HYDRO won a contract from Pakistan’s Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) for the supply of static excitation systems for six units at the Tarbela Power Station."
As stated by Bloomberg, ANDRITZ AG operates as a supplier of plants, equipment, and services for hydropower stations. The Company serves the pulp and paper, metalworking, steel, and solid and liquid separation in the municipal and industrial sectors. ANDRITZ serves customers worldwide.
