According to the World Bank, the objective of the project is to improve urban services and institutional capacity and to strengthen climate resilient development in the Dar es Salaam Region.
The project includes investment in different sctors, including water, transport, waste, and urban planning.
The World Bank categorized the E&S risk of the project as "High".
