According to the bank document, "the development objective is to prepare and respond to the COVID-19 pandemic in Liberia."
Project components are:
1) Emergency preparedness and response
-Support national and sub-national preparedness and response
-Support case detection, confirmation, contact tracing, record reporting
-Support a surveillance system to facilitate recording and on-time virtual sharing of information
2) Supporting preparedness through laboratory system strengthening
3) Case management and clinical care
-Strengthening of health facilities and service delivery
-Strengthening of human resource surge
-Logistics and ambulance services
4) Community Engagement, Risk Communication and Advocacy
The World Bank has classified this project as having Substantial environmental and social risks.
