The proposed Project will consist of two components supporting the country’s detection and response efforts in the fight against COVID-19. It will support activities aimed at strengthening the country’s capacity to: (i) identify, isolate, and provide care to patients with COVID-19 in a timely manner to minimize disease spread, morbidity and mortality; (ii) prepare and strengthen the health system for increasing levels of demand for care; and (iii) provide timely, transparent and evidence-based information to support healthcare interventions.
The World Bank has classified this project as having a Moderate environmental risk rating and a Low social risk rating.
