Project Description

The objective of the Project is to diminish the effects of poverty and environmental degradation afflicting rural indigenous Maya communities and habitats in the Toledo District by promoting community-based sustainable forest management enterprise, thereby maintaining forest cover which mitigates climate change, harbors biodiversity, and protects soil and watersheds.
