According to the IFC, the proposed IFC investment is a loan of up to US$30 million to Grupo Naturasol (Naturasol or the Company) (https://www.naturasol.com.mx/), involved in the production and sale of food products, including honey, nuts, cereals, potatoes and corn. The use of proceeds will finance new production lines related to the current expansion of the group’s potato and corn processing businesses.Naturasol operates three processing plants, and an R&D center focused on producing innovative products. All three facilities are located in industrial zones in Tepotzotlán, State of Mexico, and comprise (i) a production plant for peanuts and other nuts (currently holding the potato and corn lines), (ii) another for cereal bars and creams, and (iii) the Mielmex honey plant. The use of proceeds will be invested at Naturasol’s peanuts and other nuts’ facility. A new production plant will be rented nearby the Company’s locations, and the potato and corn processing operations will migrate to it in 2025.
