As stated by the IFC, the project consists of an equity investment for a minority stake in Bold Ventures SL, an independent offline payment acquirer in Colombia that enables offline merchants to accept card and digital payments. IFC is proposing up to US$10 million in preferred equity financing to support the Company’s operations and continued expansion.
The IFC categorized the project as FI-2.
As stated by the IFC, Bold Ventures SL is a privately owned company incorporated in Spain, with operations in Colombia. Current major shareholders include Joseph Schumpeter Investment Fund, Piton Capital, Rocket Internet, General Atlantic, Tiger Global, and InQlab.
