Project Description

As stated by the IFC, the proposed investment is a 3-year local currency facility of up to US$150 million equivalent to XW Bank in China, dedicated to support women-owned very small, small & medium enterprises. The proposed IFC financing aims to support XW Bank to grow its digital green lending to WVSMEs for up to 50% of the loan (US$75 million equivalent in RMB).
XW Bank is headquartered in Chengdu, China. The loan proceeds of the proposed investment will mainly be used to support the Bank’s WVSME lending program primarily in frontier regions across the country.
