Under this project IFC provides a loan to Hamkorbank for supporting MSMEs including women-owned very small enterprises (WVSEs).
JSCB “Hamkorbank” was established in 1991 as a private bank for SME sector in Andijan region. Currently Hamkorbank ranks #8 by total assets and is the largest private bank in Uzbekistan, with 3.3 million active retail clients, 45 thousand corporate clients, 46 branches in all regions of the country, 105 banking centers, 145 self-banking centers (24/7), 468 ATMs and 2.9 thousand employees. Ferghana Valley, which is the home region of Hamkorbank, is the most populous and economically prominent region of Uzbekistan.
