According to the IFC website, IFC will provide investment in the form of (i) $7 million of equity through its InfraVentures facility and (ii) a $6 million concessional loan in its capacity as implementing entity of the Canada Climate Change Program to the project company, Yoma Micro Power Pte. Ltd., to support the construction and operation of distributed generation (DG) units, with an expected total power rating of 4MW, throughout various locations in Myanmar. The solar-hybrid DG units will provide electricity to telecommunication towers and rural communities which do not have a connection to the main grid. Setting up DG units will involve engaging local communities, landusers, and land-owners, to lease their land on a long term basis.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IFC
The Compliance Advisor Ombudsman (CAO) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an IFC or MIGA- financed project. If you submit a complaint to the CAO, they may assist you in resolving a dispute with the company and/or investigate to assess whether the IFC is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment. If you want to submit a complaint electronically, you can email the CAO at CAO@worldbankgroup.org. You can learn more about the CAO and how to file a complaint at http://www.cao-ombudsman.org/
