Founded in 1999 with offices in Panama and Costa Rica, Namu Travel Group has established itself as a leading travel in Central America. Positioning itself as a leader in the travel industry, Namu specializes in creating tailor-made programs and itineraries, with unique and enriching experiences for its clients, which mainly come from the United States and Europe, thus fostering a distinctive link with the region. The group has established close relationships with over a hundred providers, the majority of which are small boutique hotels, tour operators, and tourist carriers, many SMEs.
According to the Bank’s website, the transaction consists of the provision of a working capital loan for an amount of up to US$5 million, with the objective of directing funds towards these suppliers, through a program of advance purchases of hotel nights, tourism services, or transportation improving effectively the operating capital and cash availability of these service providers.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IDB / IDB INVEST
The Independent Consultation and Investigation Mechanism (MICI) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) or Inter-American Investment Corporation (IDB Invest)-funded project. If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IDB Invest is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
