According to the Bank’s website, DB Invest considers providing a loan of up to US$35 million to C.P.S. Comunicaciones S.A.U. ("Metrotel"). Proceeds will be used to: (i) finance Metrotel's fiber infrastructure deployment and other capital expenditure to expand and maintain its operations in Argentina; and (ii) refinance existing debt. The main objective of the project is to increase availability of high-quality fixed broadband services by supporting Metrotel's growth plan.
Metrotel is an independent fiber operator in the country with a network comprising 6,400 km of high-quality metro fiber. The Company provides broadband connectivity, internet access and other ancillary services to more than 9,000 corporate customers. It is also developing a neutral Fiber-to-the-Home network, which can be used by multiple internet service providers in Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area and Greater Buenos Aires.
