The purpose of the Project is to grant financing to Promerica to improve access to finance for small and medium sized enterprises (“SME”) and to support the growth of Promerica’s “Green Financing” portfolio. The Project will be complemented by a Technical Assistance that will focus on its “Green Financing” portfolio.
Promerica’s SME portfolio is concentrated in commerce (16%) and services (13%) with moderate exposure to medium risk sectors in agribusiness (8%), tourism (8%), and transport (5%).

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF IADB
