Project Description

The general objective of the project is to help cushion the impact that a severe or catastrophic natural disaster or a public health event could have on the country's public finances. The specific objective is to improve the financial management of the risks of natural disasters and public health by increasing stable, cost-efficient and rapidly accessible contingent financing to cover extraordinary public expenses aimed at caring for the population affected by emergencies.

If you submit a complaint to MICI, they may assist you in addressing the problems you raised through a dispute-resolution process with those implementing the project and/or through an investigation to assess whether the IDB or IIC is following its own policies for preventing or mitigating harm to people or the environment.
