As stated by the EBRD, the project consists of the provision of a senior secured loan of up to $25 million to JV VL Galperin Nomidagi Toshkent Truba Zavodi LLC for financing the replacement of the existing drawing mil line used in the production of long steel products through the installation of more energy efficient equipment, equipment for the modernisation of the pipes' external insulation line, namely a medium frequency induction heating system, and the purchase of raw materials for the production of externally insulated large-diameter pipes.
The Project aims to enhance the Company's industrial footprint through the modernisation of existing assets, while improving energy efficiency, resulting in lower emissions, and a more sustainable and resource-efficient production profile.
Also, the Project will benefit from an incentive grant up to EUR 427,000 under the FINTECC Programme to support investments in energy efficient technologies resulting in substantial reduction of specific energy consumption expected to be provided by SSF.
As stated by the EBRD, JV VL Galperin Nomidagi Toshkent Truba Zavodi LLC, registered under the laws of Uzbekistan, is one of the leading local producers of fabricated steel products and the leading private producer of steel pipes in the country.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF EBRD
The Project Complaint Mechanism (PCM) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the PCM, it may assess compliance with EBRD's own policies and procedures to prevent harm to the environment or communities or it may assist you in resolving the problem that led to the complaint through a dialogue with those implementing the project. Additionally, the PCM has the authority to recommend a project be suspended in the event that harm is imminent.
