Project Description

As stated by the EBRD, the project consists of the provision of a senior loan of up to US$ 11 million to Abris Distribution - Kazakhstan LLP, a regional distributor of technology products.

The loan will finance long-term working capital to support business expansion and operational scaling along with digital transformation initiatives. The project is aligned with the Kazakhstan country strategy by supporting private sector competitiveness, human capital development and gender equality.

The loan of up to US$ 11 million to Abris will be allocated across two components: up to US$ 10 million for working capital to support the Company's business expansion and operational scaling; up to US$ 1 million for digital capital expenditure to enable digital transformation efforts.

The Project Complaint Mechanism (PCM) is the independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who have been or are likely to be adversely affected by an European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD)-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the PCM, it may assess compliance with EBRD's own policies and procedures to prevent harm to the environment or communities or it may assist you in resolving the problem that led to the complaint through a dialogue with those implementing the project. Additionally, the PCM has the authority to recommend a project be suspended in the event that harm is imminent.
