According to the Bank’s website, this is the first subproject of the TA cluster on the Asian Economic Integration: Building Knowledge for Policy Dialogue, 2025-2031, which is aligned with ADB's mandate to promote regional cooperation and integration (RCI) by strengthening the quality and impact of ADB's RCI knowledge products, particularly the Asian Economic Integration Report (AEIR) and RCI-related databases.
The publications and databases can provide research and data support for ADB management's engagement in regional and global policy forums, inform external clients about progress in RCI-related policies, research, and development finance; and support ADB's knowledge and operational work on RCI. The TA cluster and its first subproject were included in the Work Program Budget Framework, 2025-2027 of the Economic Research and Development Impact Department (ERDI).
According to the Technical Assistance Report, the Risk Categories are:

The TA subproject financing amount is $1,200,000, which will be financed on a grant basis by ADB’s Technical Assistance Special Fund (TASF 8 for $600,000 and TASF-other sources for $600,000).
