According to the Bank’s website, the proposed Accelerating the Climate Transition (the Program) supports Uzbekistan to strengthen the enabling environment and institutional arrangements for a climate transition, strengthening the links and interaction of climate change adaptation priorities, and accelerating climate change mitigation actions. The Program aligns with the Asian Development Bank's (ADB) forthcoming Country Partnership Strategy for Uzbekistan, 2024-2028, which prioritizes the facilitation of Uzbekistan's transitioning to a green economy, supports climate change mitigation and adaptation, and climate and disaster resilience. The proposed program complements ADB forthcoming policy-based and sector development programs supporting climate transition in finance and energy.

ACCOUNTABILITY MECHANISM OF ADB
The Accountability Mechanism is an independent complaint mechanism and fact-finding body for people who believe they are likely to be, or have been, adversely affected by an Asian Development Bank-financed project. If you submit a complaint to the Accountability Mechanism, they may investigate to assess whether the Asian Development Bank is following its own policies and procedures for preventing harm to people or the environment. You can learn more about the Accountability Mechanism and how to file a complaint at: http://www.adb.org/site/accountability-mechanism/main.
