As stated by the ADB, the proposed TA on Building Capacity for Low Carbon Power Infrastructure Development will support Indonesia's State Electricity Corporation (Perusahaan Listrik Negara, or PLN) in improving processes, practices, workforce competencies and skills to shift the power system from fossil fuel to low-carbon electricity supply. The TA will complement a proposed results-based lending program (RBL) to PLN on Accelerating Indonesia's Clean Energy Transition to advance capacity development for RBL program timely implementation as soon as possible.
The project receives additional financing in the forms of Technical Assistance by the Green Climate Fund, for an amount of US$ 200'000.
As stated by Bloomberg, Perusahaan Perseroan (Persero) PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara generates, transmits, and distributes electricity. The Company develops electricity infrastructure such as transmission networks, substations, and distribution networks, as well as increase installed capacity for power supply. Perusahaan Listrik Negara serves customers in Indonesia.
