As stated by the ADB, the loan will provide long-term financing for Ananta Knitwear Limited (AKL) to construct a green building and purchase and install machinery for a greenfield knitting factory in Narshingdi, and to achieve backward integration of its production process.

As stated by the ADB, AKL is a part of Ananta group, one of the largest exporters of ready-made garments in Bangladesh.
As stated on the parent company's website, Ananta is a group of companies established in Bangladesh in 1992, carrying on the business of manufacturing and exporting garments, leather products to western markets.
