According to bank's website, the "TA will support the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of the People's Republic of China (PRC) to prepare GEF7 Request for Chief Executive Officer Endorsement (CER) for another larger knowledge and support TA on Innovating Eco-Compensation Mechanisms in the Yangtze River Basin (YRB) with estimated TA cost of $8.07 million proposed to be financed by the GEF."
The TA implementation was supported by 9 individual consultants (2 international and 7 national consultants) for 8 positions: (i) senior chemical and waste specialist and team co-leader (international, 1.82 person-months);7 (ii) senior biodiversity advisor and team co-leader (national, 3.05 person-months); (iii) agricultural plastics specialist (national, 1.05 person-months); (iv) senior eco-compensation and conservation finance specialist (national, 2.05 person-months); (v) protected area management specialist (national, 2.05 person- months); (vi) social safeguards and gender specialist (national, 1.41 person-months); (vii) chemical and plastic industry analyst (national, 1.41 person-months); and (viii) environmental safeguard specialist (national, 1.41 person-months). The TA completion date was extended from 30 June 2022 to 30 September 2022 to complete the remaining activities and support timely preparation of TA 10033-PRC.
